The construction of the road from Phaplu to the Dudh Kosi valley by the government has been  underway for years. Thanks to constant improvements this unpaved road is now in quite good condition. Since tgis road does not touch Hewa on ther opposite side of the Hewa Khola, HSCC has campaigned for the construction of a feeder road from Chhulemu to Hewa. Its constrution has been completed. First jeeps arrived in Hewa in March 2019. Currently, a bridge across the Hewa Khola below Hewa is still missing, but outside of monsoon jeeps and tractors can cross this small river just below the footbridge from Chhulemu.
