In December 2015, the American organisation Hike for Help organised a health camp in Hewa. Dr. Dennis Martin and Dr. Tilachan Parazuli, Phaplu hospital, checked 237 patients within three days. They found many persons with high blood pressure, anemic, raising sugar level, gastritis, and arthritis. Children and pregnant women were given pre natal Vitamins and multivitamins. Half a dozen of checked persons had stroke level blood pressure. The team realised the necessity of a health centre in the village. In 2016 the building of this health centre has been constructed close to the just finished village centre building. The construction of the health post builöding had already been finished in 2017, bu it has not yeat been inaugurated, obviously due to administrative dispute.
